The Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) verifies the energy consumption and water use of residential dishwashers.

Since 1967, we've used outside labs to test products, and today you'll find the AHAM Mark on a variety of appliances such as refrigerators, combination refrigerator-freezers and freezers, clothes washers, dishwashers, dehumidifiers, room air conditioners and room air cleaners. Appliances that are part of the AHAM Verification program bare an AHAM Mark on the appliance- ether on the rating label, or on the product packaging. You may use AHAM’s online searchable directories to locate a model that is right for you.
